- Weight for W75+ shot reduced to 2 kg.
- Weight for W75+ weigh reduced to 4 kg.
- M60, M65 60m hurdles, changed to 12.00m to the 1st hurdle and 16.00m from the last hurdle to the finish.
- M 60, M65 60m Height hurdles 84,0cm, distance to 1st Hurdle 12.00m, distance in-between 8.00m, distance to the finish 16.00m

The closest international airports are in Helsinki and Tampere with several daily connections eg. from Stockholm and Copenhagen. Ferries from Stockholm to Turku and Helsinki daily. It takes 1,5 hours by train from Tampere, 3 hours from Helsinki and 3,5 hours from Turku. Flight from Helsinki to Jyväskylä takes only 35 min.
