Welcome to Jyväskylä, Finland. We are very happy to have You here as our guests.
The match organiser and your host here in Jyväskylä will be Jyväskylä Track and Field Club, Jyväskylän Kenttäurheilijat. The match will be arranged at Harju Stadium, which is located almost in the city centre. The match will start on Saturday at 09am and end on Sunday at about 19pm. Technical meeting will take place on Friday at 20pm in the Stadium.
We have made some arrangements about the board and lodging from Friday evening to Monday morning: Your accommodation will be in hotel Alexandra two persons in a room. The hotel is located in downtown, app. 0,7 km from the stadium.
Meals
On Friday dinner is at the Harju school restaurant, near the stadium. Saturday and Sunday (Monday): breakfast is at the hotel, lunch-baggage in the stadium and dinner at Harju school restaurant. This whole "baggage" (meals and accommodation) will cost you 195 euros (65 euros/day) per person. In a single room whole “baggage” costs 250 euros. It is possible to arrange your board and lodging by yourself if you wish. Invoice will be sent beforehand.
Travel in Finland
Jyväskylä has frequent flight connections to/from Helsinki-Vantaa airport. We are also easily accessible by train or by bus. There is information about the flight and train timetables in the below.
We have a suggestion for your team
Is it possible for your team to travel from Helsinki to Jyväskylä by bus? We would like to rent a bus and come to pick you up (and other teams also) from Helsinki. It will take about three hours to Jyväskylä by bus. So you should be in Helsinki at least by 16.00 hours on Friday 6th of June. The poles will fit in the bus. We will charge 45 euros for the lift per person (Helsinki-Jyväskylä-Helsinki). The bus will take you back to Helsinki on Monday morning. Leaving time will be set to fit all the teams.
Please contact us as soon as possible and let us know if you are happy with our suggestions. We would like to hear how many members will be included in your team. Also would you let us know about your travelling details and timetable? We will send you more information about the entry later.
